This week is Volunteers’ Week and what a special week it is! Not only is it the one week of the year where the focus is all about volunteers but it’s also the 30th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week! Positive Futures Gets Planting!

We have received further funding from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency to develop a fully accessible community garden at Willowbridge School in Enniskillen. The community garden is situated next to the sensory garden which was developed and installed in November 2013 in partnership with The Organic Centre, Rossinver.

Lord Mayor Lends His Support To Our Campaign

Belfast’s Lord Mayor Mairtin O’Mulleoir has lent his support to our “What About Me?” campaign has he hosted a reception to hear the story of 23 year–old Georgina Brodrick, who has a learning disability and has suffered a series of strokes resulting in limited functioning down the right side of her body.

Positive Futures Showcases Best Practice In New Advocacy Publication

Positive Futures has contributed to “Raise Your Voice”, a new publication which showcases the advocacy work of 8 third sector organisations in Northern Ireland. The publication was produced as part of the University of Ulster’s Sustainability in the Third Sector programme.
