We have recently opened a new Service in Coleraine, called Ferns, providing a residential service for children and young people. This is not some austere, ‘boarding school type’ set up, in fact it’s the very opposite – The young people we support through this service are able to live in an ordinary house, in an ordinary neighbourhood. Our aim is to give these young people just the right amount of support to grow up as rounded individuals, with the same opportunity to take part in their community, and pursue their hopes and dreams, as anyone else.
We are currently transitioning 2 young people from their current living arrangements to be supported by our new service. In order to support them we need kind, caring and patient people to join us as Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and Social Workers.
Join us at our Facebook Live event on our Facebook page, @positivefutures95, on Tuesday at 18.30 and hear from Paul, our Ferns Service Manager about what the Service does, Kayleigh, our Senior Support Worker about the roles and Lynn, our HR specialist who will cover the application process.
