June is one of the longest–serving volunteers in the Bangor Families Service, having first joined us 13 years ago. She plays a central role in our swimming and trampolining after–school activities every week.
June also helps out with holiday activities. She always has a smile on her face and an infectious laugh that soon spreads to everyone around her.
Service Co–ordinator Denise Galbraith says: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank June, as one of the longest serving volunteers with Bangor Families, for her selfless dedication to the service and the many, many hours of her time that she has given to supporting our children and families throughout the years.
“Bangor Families would not be the service it is today without the input of June and all of our volunteers. I cannot tell you enough how appreciative we are of their commitment and how much of a difference they make to the lives of the young people and families we support.”
June says: “I really enjoy seeing the children progress and grow in confidence. Seeing the smiles on their faces and knowing that I am part of this is just wonderful for me.”
