Brighter Futures, like many of our services, really values the support of volunteers to enable it to carry on its work. Hannah has been with the project for seven months and has a real aptitude for connecting with the children.
Pauline O’Hagan, Project Manager, says: “Hannah’s gentle nature, alongside her skill in picking up on subtle clues from the children when they are getting anxious, means she is a real asset to the team. The children are so happy to see her each week, and her input means that support sessions are always a great experience for those involved.
“One boy made such a connection with her that – at the age of five – he spoke his first words to her: hello and bye–bye. That’s an illustration of how comfortable children are in her company.
“We are very lucky to have Hannah as part of our team, and we’re really grateful for her commitment and dedication. She has made a real and lasting impression on the children, parents and staff at Brighter Futures.”
