The curtain goes up on a special autism–friendly showing of Home Alone at MovieLAND in Newtownards on Sunday 10 December. Thanks to MovieLAND, proceeds from the event – and from a standard showing of the film – will go to leading learning disability charity Positive Futures.
Enjoying the fun will be the charity’s Managing Director Dermot Parsons, who will be carrying out all his duties dressed as an elf from December 7 to December 13 to help raise money for the charity. Unlike the crooks in Home Alone, he’s big enough not to let a little thing like a tarantula bother him – although in this case it is a toy version.
Also pictured (from left) are: (Eoin Sloan, Alexander Nightingale and Toby Ellesmere with Dermot and MovieLAND General Manager Eileen McConnel).
Showings of the film are from 11.30am on 10 December. Tickets and more information can be found at www.positive–futures.net.
