Do you think you have what it takes to make a difference to someone’s life?
Being a volunteer mentor gives you the opportunity to support an adult with a learning disability to gain skills that enable them to be more independent in their everyday life.
By offering a few hours of your time regularly, you will have the opportunity to support someone to:
Positive Futures’ Better Futures Project currently have a number of opportunities for mentors, who are willing to step up and take on the challenge of making that difference.
Together, you and the person you are matched with will have the opportunity to build a relationship of trust and find creative ways to make positive connection in the local community. As well as developing the life skills of the person you support, this rewarding role will enhance your skills too!
Our Better Futures Project operates in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust area, namely Bangor and Lisburn.
