The official handover of the project took place today. Everything has come together in the past few weeks and recent work included the installation of the lift, decoration of rooms and putting in place the final fixtures and fittings.
The contractors provided a demonstration of all mechanical and electrical equipment to operations staff and our Health & Safety Officer. All documentation regarding the building was also handed over.
The formal launch of the building will take place on 18 June where staff, families, some of the people we support and other invited guests will get an opportunity to look around the building.
It’s great to see this project come together after more than a year of planning and building and we can’t wait to welcome the first people we support to stay in our new Wheatfield Short Break Service at the end of June.
