Positive Futures is a leading Northern Ireland charity supporting people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury, or autistic spectrum condition and their families.
Our Support Workers support adults in their own homes to live empowered, independent lives. A typical day might include helping them plan and prepare a meal, complete some household chores, or engaging in a hobby. You may also be helping with medication, financial management and personal care.
Full training is provided. You do not need any previous formal experience – we need people who are caring, kind, compassionate and patient. Any experience that you may have in supporting a family member with anything from household tasks to emotional support will be helpful. You will have gained valuable skills in any customer facing role – communication, problem solving and team working. These are all relevant to providing support to people.
We have offices all over Northern Ireland. Each office contains one, or more, Services which support people in the local area.
We provide support on a 24 hour basis meaning we can offer a variety of working patterns and types of contracts. We have full time, part time and relief positions available. Tell us at interview about your availability and we will do our best to find a contract and working pattern that works for you and us.
