Supported Living Services

Special Skills
Some people confuse Supported Living with independent living. They are not the same. But Positive Futures believes that anyone with a learning disability - no matter how severe the disability - can benefit from a supported living service.
The issues are not to do with the person's ability; it's about giving the right kind of support.
Highly skilled staff are needed to meet the individual, and at times, highly complex needs of the people we support. These skills are developed and enhanced by ongoing training, and quality outcomes are assured through independent evaluation
This means that Positive Futures provides individually designed, holistic services to the highest professional standards.
A home of our own
That's something most of us take for granted. But this isn't the case for many people with a learning disability. Supported Living opens the door to a place of your own, but it isn't just about finding suitable accommodation.
That's important, but only part of the story.
Finding out what people want, where and with whom they want to live; matching this with the right kind of support and the right physical environment. Promoting self-confidence. Putting people in control of their own lives. Making new friends. Becoming part of the surrounding community. Involving existing supporters
All are needed to make Supported Living work.
