A First for Adult Placement
Submitted by admin on Mon, 08/02/2010 - 3:54pm
Positive Futures' Adult Placement Service is the first in Northern Ireland to receive specialist training from the National Association of Adult Placement Services (NAAPS).
NAAPS represents Adult Placement Services, also known as Shared Lives, across the UK, offering specialist support, guidance and training. The Positive Futures Team attended a two day workshop called "Learning the Ropes". This was facilitated by John Dickenson and Robert Stead and focused on service innovation.
Adult Placement Services depend on volunteer Placement Providers and those who volunteer with Positive Futures are the only group in Northern Ireland to receive leading edge training from NAAPS.
